Adventurous Children, age 5-12!

June 11-15 AND/OR June 18-22 , 2018

9am – 3pm – Pelican Harbor Marina,  Miami

A Natural History of Biscayne Bay

Get your campers ready for a two weeks of fun-filled days…exploring the shores and waters of Biscayne Bay.

Bayologist Campers will travel back in time this camp season – going backward from 2018 – thousands of years –  to see how Biscayne Bay came to be.  Campers will better understand the bay ecology by getting to know its natural history and will discover marine-life,  both past and present.

Did you know we used to have a local seal swimming the waters of Biscayne Bay?  The Caribbean Monk Seal – unfortunately the population is now extinct due to the fur trade.

This summer learn all about the past and present Biscayne Bay – in both the indoor and outdoor classroom.

Every session, the Bayologists enjoy boating the bay, paddling the calm waters, wading and walking the shoreline;  dipping their nets below the surface to study and identify different species of wildlife, playing active environmental games, participating in hands-on art and science activities, and learning from local scientists and activists.

Each camper becomes a steward of Biscayne Bay with the Aquatic Preserves and understands how their actions affect the environment around them.  When a camper attends one week of each season – Winter, Spring and Summer…,they earn their BBAP Junior Bayologist Certificate, complete with an achievement ceremony and photo with a BBAP Biologist.   Once a Junior Bayologist, the campers are encouraged to continue attending to learn more and more about where they live.

Space is limited in this very popular camp…sign up NOW to save your space!
Price is per week. 15% Sibling discount.

Each week of camp there is an additional field trip fee of $15-$20 per camper to be paid the week of camp via cash or check.

Please fill out the below form and then make payment via the link below. You are not officially signed up with a saved spot until you pay in full. Thank you.
